CBR ORIENTATION FOR AGUSAN DEL NORTE STARTS

Despite financial constraints, LPFI has started to expand its Community Based Rehabilitation Program in Agusan del Norte through the San Francisco Sub Office.
Last January 2009, a CBR Orientation was held in Cabadbaran City for the Local Officials headed by Mayor Dale Corvera and officers of different Local NGOs and Persons with Disabilities.
There was a full force attendance of Regional Committee on Disability (RCDA) of Caraga Region 13. Mr. Gerard Rikken, the founding officer of LPFI, a member of the Education Committee of the National Council for Disability Affairs (RCDA) and LPFI Executive Director, Marlon C. Advincula, CPA, graced the occasion.
After the lecture of Mr. Rikken, RCDA teams took part by explaining its agency’s role in improving the PWDs organization. Planning workshop in the afternoon was facilitated by MSWDO Joan Atega and Kim Ojeda, and PWD Focal Person.
Last April 2009, PD Fe Cebrian also conducted an Orientation in Jabonga, during the SB Session, with Mayor Montero and MSWDO staff attending.
PD Fe Cebrian visited other LGUs of Agusan del Norte that have shown interest and willingness to accept CBRP like Kitcharao, Santiago, Tubay and Magallanes.
